" The Battle Of The Falling Pegasie"

Before the war, battle lines were drawn and borders were made. Towns and cities that were once peacful were forced to join sides. Some of these cities gave into enemy forces without conflict, or they were seiged for so long they gave up. There were towns however, that were proud of their beleifs and were determined to fight to the last pony. These towns were not taken so easily.
Neighagra Falls: 20 days after Equestria's seperation
Neighagra Falls could be one of the greatest vantage points of the war. Pagusas were extremly valuble fighters. They could strike from above and carry out recon missions easily. Neighagra Falls could provide a great, concealed, and elevated base to launch Pegasus from. Both Rarity and Rainbow Dash knew this. They both wanetd the territory and were determined that the other didn't get it.
Rarity sommoned her fleat commanders and as many spare warships as she could muster. She thought the best approach to this fight would be from the water. She could easily get anywhere in the falls with boats. Rainbow Dash decided she would take the fight to the skies, and she summoned a massive Pegasus only fighting force. Both sides were ready fro the battle. They both knew the cost for victory and also the consequences of defeat.
Rarity finally was the first to move in. Weather had delaied the Pegasus force, so Rarity had the advantage. She brought her ships in from the rivers around the falls. She then set up a select few of her vessels in the mane lake. The rest of her boats were further up the river. They were ready to move when ordered. The pegasus arrived after a near by storm cleared up. They came over the falls and saw none of the ships in the rivers, they did see the ones in the lake. Rainbow Dash and Pinky Pie were the most patient of leaders, so they took the bait and attacked the ships. The small amount of vessels drew in the entire force. That's when the river boats moved in.
The Pegasus foudn themselves surrounded and the ships were firing arrows up at them. The could not stay above the ships, so they retreated towards the falls. Rarity knew they would try this, so she set up archors around the falls prior to the battle. The Pegasus did not dare fly over the falls, so they were forced under them. Many of the Pegasus were shot down or drowned by the falling water from above. The ships no longer needed to kill them, they just needed to get them out of the sky to drown below.
The battle was considered a major victory and Pegasus bases were set up a few days later. Rarity finds this as one of the most distinguished moments in her military and it is known around the kingdom as "The Battle Of The Falling Pegasie".
